8.25.1. Installation of MPC

Prepare MPC for compilation:

./configure --prefix=/usr    \
            --disable-static \
            --docdir=/usr/share/doc/mpc-1.3.1

Compile the package and generate the HTML documentation:

make
make html

Test the results and ensure that all 74 tests passed, issue:

make check 2>&1 | tee mpc-check-log
awk '/# PASS:/{total+=$3} ; END{print total}' mpc-check-log

Install the package and its documentation:

make install
make install-html

Installed libraries: libmpc.so

Installed directory: /usr/share/doc/mpc-1.3.1
