Introduction to Kate

The Kate package contains an advanced KF6 based graphical text editor.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS 12.4 platform.

KDE Frameworks-6.20.0 Kwindowsystem-6.20.0, extra-cmake-modules-6.20.0

Installation of Kate

Prepare Kate by running the following commands: 

cmake -B build -W no-dev               \
      -D CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/opt/kf6 \
      -D CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release      \
      -D BUILD_TESTING=OFF
cmake --build build

This package does not come with a test suite.

Now Install the package, as the root user: 

cmake --install build
